At Inventor STEM School, we understand that plans can change. We strive to provide flexibility while ensuring that staffing, materials, facility reservations, equipment allocation, and curriculum preparation can be properly managed. This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to classes, camps, special events, Home STEM Rentals, and other educational services provided by Inventor STEM School.
Family Credit
Unless otherwise stated in this Policy, eligible cancellations are issued as a Family Credit to your Inventor STEM School account. Family Credit:
does not expire;
- may be transferred to siblings within the same family;
may be used for any eligible Inventor STEM School program or service and applied toward classes, programs, Home STEM Rentals, special events, birthday parties, or other services offered by Inventor STEM School.
Classes and Academic Programs
Cancellation 21 Days or More Before Start Date
If enrollment is canceled twenty-one (21) or more days before the first scheduled class, the full amount paid will be transferred to your Family Credit account.
Cancellation Between 21 and 7 Days Before Start Date
If enrollment is canceled between twenty-one (21) and seven (7) days before the first scheduled class, a $50 cancellation fee applies.
The remaining balance will be transferred to your Family Credit account.
Cancellation Less Than 7 Days Before Start Date
If enrollment is canceled fewer than seven (7) days before the first scheduled class, a $100 cancellation fee applies.
The remaining balance will be transferred to your Family Credit account.
Vacation Programs and Summer Programs
Cancellation 21 Days or More Before Program Start
The full amount paid will be transferred to your Family Credit account.
Cancellation Between 21 and 7 Days Before Program Start
A $50 cancellation fee applies.
The remaining balance will be transferred to your Family Credit account.
Cancellation Less Than 7 Days Before Program Start
A $100 cancellation fee applies.
The remaining balance will be transferred to your Family Credit account.
Home STEM Rentals
Cancellation Before Pickup or Delivery
Customers may cancel a Home STEM Rental before equipment pickup, shipment, delivery, or release of digital curriculum materials. The full amount paid will be transferred to the customer’s Family Credit account.
Cancellation After Pickup or Curriculum Access
Once a Rental Kit has been picked up, delivered, shipped, or curriculum materials have been provided, rental fees are non-refundable. This policy exists because equipment has been reserved, inventory has been allocated, and educational materials have been made available for use.
Equipment Issues
If Inventor STEM School determines that rented equipment is defective or unusable, we may, at our sole discretion:
provide replacement equipment;
extend the rental period;
issue Family Credit;
provide a partial or full refund.
Missed Classes and Absences
Whenever possible, Inventor STEM School may offer make-up opportunities for missed classes.
Make-up classes:
are subject to availability;
are not guaranteed;
have no cash value;
may be offered in a different format than the originally scheduled class.
Missed classes, missed camp days, schedule conflicts, vacations, and voluntary absences are generally non-refundable.
Program Changes
Inventor STEM School reserves the right to modify schedules, instructors, curriculum, classroom assignments, equipment, lesson sequences, or program formats when reasonably necessary.
Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund.
Program Cancellation by Inventor STEM School
If Inventor STEM School cancels a class, camp, rental program, or event and no reasonable alternative can be provided, customers may choose either:
a full Family Credit; or
a full refund to the original payment method.
Refunds to Original Payment Method
Family Credit is the default form of reimbursement. Customers who request a refund to their original payment method may be subject to a processing and administrative fee of up to 3% of the original transaction amount to cover non-refundable payment processing costs. Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days after approval.
Exceptional Circumstances
Inventor STEM School understands that unique situations may arise. We reserve the right to make exceptions to this Policy at our sole discretion. Any exception granted in one case does not create an obligation to grant exceptions in future cases.
